It was a bit of nightmare applying for it. If you don't qualify for it you can apply for Universal Credit and if you get the UC you should be eligible for the best start grant and the food and milk one too.

You can start claiming it from 11 weeks prior to due date but it can take near 2 month for them to sort everything
