@Naomi this is so reassuring. Thank you!
No problem! If you need any more advice with it etc, feel free to message x
Im in the south east if you want to chat! X
I moved in January and had my baby in March. The transfer of care went really smoothly. They were super fast and it all went well. I have severe anxiety so was worried, but it was fine x
We moved from down South to Stockport 5 weeks b4 I was due to pop. Plan, organise, contact midwifes, gp, hospital early and get registered. Buy baby stuff n move with it unless u have time once moved. Think about what the new house will need - decorating, carpets, furniture etc and plan in advance. Chase gp, midwife hospital once ur in new area to make sure u get care.
Ohh and get help moving. 😀
@Sarah so reassuring thank you!
@Leanne amazing thank you. Great practical advice 🙂
@Leanne and yes 100% we will do this!
I’ve just moved 92 miles away from “home” to live with my partner. It is a big thing but we made sure that we had the house early on so that we could paint and decorate and move stuff over, over a few weeks rather than on just one day. I also chose to finish a little earlier from work so that I had at least 2 weeks before counting as “full term” so moved at 35 weeks. I will be 37 weeks on Thursday and slowly getting there, it’s daunting being in a new area but I’ve met my new midwife and consultant and been to the new hospital this week and everyone is so lovely! Good luck!
