@Mia I’ll have a look thank you I don’t want a medical one as they said there wasn’t a lot of fluid and it will most likely distress her and not work but I’ll deffo look at that website thank you xx
If it helps, I had an elective c-section first time round, having my second on the 4th July and I didn’t actually see any blood. They’ll put up a screen which basically means you see nothing of the operation and feel nothing from the waist down. I’ve always understood vaginal births to be far messy in terms of what you see, pass in term of bowels etc.Planned and electives c-sections are incredibly calm procedures. If that helps in terms of reassurance!
@Katie how did you find managing to stay still for the epidural I’m bad with syringes and I’m scared I’ll flinch xx
I’m currently 34+2 and baby boy hasn’t moved since 27 weeks. He’s frank breech so they said they’d give me options at my 36 presentation scan. I’ve tried yoga, spinning babies etc and he’s just obviously very comfy in that position 😂 feeling ok with a c-section and coming to terms it’s looking that way. As long as he’s out and healthy that’s the main thing x
@Heather she’s decided to be head in the ribs since 27weeks too she’s a stubborn mule I’ve tried everything as well think I just need to man up now xxx
@Becki-Jayne I have a horrible needle phobia. Developed GD at 28 weeks and it so bad in terms do the needles that was prescribed this continuous monitor for the arm so I didn’t need to face the needles, just for context at how bad I find them. To be totally honest the epidural pinched but because you can’t see it, they numb the area etc then it wasn’t too bad. The thing I didn’t like was the cannula they put in your hand to administer all the various drugs but you’d have to have this with vaginal as well so it’s pretty unavoidable with birth unless you go down an entirely unmedicated route. The thing I can’t stress enough is how calm it is, they’ll give you time to panic, as I did when it came to the cannula etc. I was able to listen to a playlist I’d put together with my partner there is zero stress in the room, which helps. As with so much in life I find it’s the idea of it rather than the reality which is far worse. You have totally got this!!!
My midwife told me that if I opt for the c section at 39 weeks, they will scan me in the morning of the c section and if baby has turned then they call the section off. I got scanned at 36 weeks and she had turned and have another scan tomorrow to double check
Its not as bad as people make out! I hate needles aswell but its all over within minutes ! I had my 3rd 2 days ago x
Go swimming to get baby to turn
