Teat sizes?

When baby is getting frustrated when trying to get the milk out xx

I moved my baby to size 2 at 4 weeks x

My girl moved over to size 2 (mam) at 5 weeks

My little one is 4 weeks and we’re on 1s during the day at 0s at night because she’s a gulper! I think if she’s falling asleep on the bottle and she’s not gulping and struggling in 1s, you’re good to move to size 2 x

I was getting worried reading this as mines coming up to 7 weeks and is still on teat 1 and is a massive gulper, wondering when he’s going to slow down😂

My little ones 6/7 weeks and she’s on 1’s still x

@Louise depending on his mood as well he either drinks normally or is a dribley mess so I know he’s still not ready for the next size😂x

Absolutely @Riley my little ones the same, she’s also windy so unsure whether to have 90ml or 120ml 🤣 I think every babies different but usually guidance is about 12 weeks size 2, but I don’t think it matters massively as long as baby is ok xxx

Mine is almost 9 weeks and still on 1! We tried her on 2 but she just gulps it and chokes and then is sick! So didn’t work for her just yet, so went back to 1! I think try and see if it works for you and your baby xx

I must be really behind as my son is 8 weeks and we’re still using mams zero teats

@Kate not sure if it’s just the tommee tippee bottles, but they seem well too fast for him😂

My baby was using mam teat 1 from birth up to 7 w I then had to downgrade him to teat 0 because he was going through growth spur and started really gulping his milk to the point of choking. We are still on 0 at 9w 🤭

@Shruti you are not, don’t worry. My first was on size 0 for the first six months (I did try to go up a size but she would get sick straight away) x

@Shruti our 7wk old is still on 0! :-) she drinks so quickly so I'm hesitant to move her up to one

@Riley mines the same he’s 5 weeks and still on 1s and slow flow he gulps a lot so I worry. But he gets frustrated a lot so maybe I should move treats? X

We moved onto size 2 at 1 week old as per advice from two separate midwives. It instantly helped with wind and hiccups and she has no issue with how fast the flow is, best thing we ever did x

My baby girl is 5 weeks on Wednesday and is still on size 0 xx

We use Tommie Tippi size 1 we tried the mam size 0 yesterday and she just got so frustrated we went back to the size 1 bottle and she gulps it down every time she gets the bottle oh also she's been on size 1 from week 1 or 2 (I didn't check the size beforehand) x

I moved my LO to size 2 when he turned 8 weeks, took him a day or two to get used to the flow

I’ve just moved my 6 week old to teat 2! I found she was falling asleep before finishing her bottle and sucking super hard so tried her on size 2 and feeds are much smoother again

Just to give an update iv fully switched over to MAM bottles as they are closer to a boob and have 0 flow and have colic prevention and can self Sterlize so handy basically don't need a sterilizer now other than for my pump and the mini bottle I use for medicine lol you can even sterilize a dummy in the MAM bottles x
