Thank you so much and congratulations! Keeping hopeful 🤞 x
I didn’t tell my GP until 8 weeks pregnant (this was an ivf pregnancy) but waiting a bit is ok as they don’t do anything they just refer you to a midwife. Congratulations! Cramps at the start are normal too x
You don’t have to tell your GP shit. Just wait it out and see how it goes.
I had the exact same situation and didn’t know what to do either. I held out for a bit and had a few private scans to make sure pregnancy was progressing as it should. To be honest the doctor doesn’t do much at the beginning anyway, you get assigned a midwife and they take urine sample, blood pressure and they do take bloods to check things like your iron level. It’s a hard call as I didn’t know what the right thing to do was either and I was terrified if I lost the pregnancy I wouldn’t be able to have the IVF I was lucky and ended up have a successful pregnancy. Also the feeling of period cramps is normal in the early stages it’s just where you uterus is starting to stretch etc to make room for baby. X
