I had this. Talk to your midwife and the informed pregnancy, birth and beyond group (on Facebook/insta/free meet up groups)-they are very non-judgmental and I find very reassuring listening to the other parent’s experiences. Write down all the questions you have when you think of them and take your list with you to appointments. The healthcare staff that perform the scan don’t say anything, as they aren’t experts in interpreting what the scans show. It’s their job to refer you on to those that can. I found being “scooped up” into referrals etc more worrying as no one seemed to tell me what was wrong or might be wrong. In the most part, a small head circumference makes the predicted calculation of birth weight low. But the measurements and calculations, as with due date, are all estimates not specifics.
