Agreed on Xonvea! Had HG with my first, bedridden and in and out of hospital until 20 weeks. This pregnancy ive been taking Xonvea and ive mainly been able to continue life as normal! More like morning sickness than HG. Still odd bouts of nausea but i can eat and drink almost normally 🙏
I havent found what works for me but will share a few for inspiration: diclegis, zofran, reglan. Good luck!! I am right there with you trying to figure this out
My gp has refused to prescribe this new medication I don’t know if there is any other way to get medication? Eg admission

Maybe show them this ^ Its the new RCOG (royal college of obstetrics and gynaecology guidelines) updated for 2024, which now includes Xonvea (brand name for doxylamine/pyridoxine). Or ask for a second opinion? If you go to hospital for rehydration (IV fluids) they usually give you an anti-emetic injection with advice on what to do going forward. Good luck, HG is so tough 😟
I was in a position where no medications would work for me either, I tried 8 different ones before finding one which finally worked. It was a lot of advocating for myself and asking for a different doctor on a couple occasions but definitely worth it. HG is so debilitating physically and mentally but doesn’t need to be. I’ve now been taking Xonvea for 3 months and it has completely changed my life. It’s the only medication which eliminates my nausea and allows me to eat and have an active day. It’s the only drug in the UK developed and licensed specifically for pregnancy sickness and I have also heard lots of success stories from other women taking it. It’s worth requesting it from your GP if you haven’t already tried it. I’ve attached a link below to a website which really helped me. Good luck 🤍 https://pregnancysicknesssupport.org.uk/get-help/treatments/
