I get it too girlie smh
It's very hard for me to hear how my daughter gets bullied. It's constantly kids throwing things at her saying she's weird etc and my daughter is so absolutely lovely it breaks my heart to pieces. As a smaller child she didn't have alot of issues but now as a teen It's so disheartening to find any faith in humanity anymore
Yes or I get anxious incase he has a meltdown
@Sam yes! Then I get overwhelmed and it’s not fun
Yes. I always get odd questions or comments about him. I feel very self conscious. But I know that the best thing for him is to be out. He loves it even though he might not act like the other kiddos. So I just add it to the challenges of parenting a neurodiverse child.
I was like this very early on. I’m now 40 and he is 12 and I also have a 2yo now who is neurotypical seeming but loud and wild and defiant etc. at a certain point I stopped caring what others thought. Have your response ready for these people in advance and never let anyone be hateful to you or your kiddo. To avoid the ones who stare or give looks, literally don’t look at anything but your child during these moments and focus on them.
Yes! Like it's your fault they're behaving like that? I'm 100% with you.
