Let me just say, if you're questioning if that's a contraction, it's not one. You'll know immediately, trust me.

That’s not accurate for everyone. I didn’t know I was in labor until I started transition. Up until then I just thought I was having cramps. It really depends on your pain tolerance. My advice on how to know is if there is a pattern to the cramps/contractions it’s likely early labor.

I agree with the first girl I just had my baby yesterday at 35 weeks and you’ll know when your about to have the baby

Honestly I'm pregnant currently with my 3rd and I've never felt a contraction. My first was induced my second my water broke and that's how I knew to go in.

I had very mild cramps when I first went into labor but didn’t really know I was in labor. I went to bed and woke up to more intense cramps and timed them and it told me to go to the hospital! It’s going to be different for everyone!

With my first, I never felt my contractions. Had I not been induced and was feeling the contractions at home, I would have never thought they were contractions and would have probably had my baby at home 🤣

A lot of people will say that you’ll know but I disagree. I have been in labor since Tuesday evening, so not quite active labor, but the early stages, and I’m a first-time parent so I actually did not know. I thought I was just having gas pains or something. Turns out I was already having contractions AND I was already dilating quite a bit. So when in doubt just go get checked out because even though a lot of people say that you will know, that’s not the case for everybody because everybody’s body is different.
