It’s hard. It’s very hard. But he will learn quicker than you think. But sitting him on the toilet during every diaper change and doing stand up diaper changes will help him get used to the act of going to the bathroom. (Sitting on the toilet is just more sanitary because the urine won’t spray everywhere when it hits the water. A kitchen timer will be your best friend. You set it for short amounts of time at first and then gradually go longer as he stays dry and he will learn to start holding it. If you decided to put him right into underwear (which is what we did with our girl) he will learn how uncomfortable it is to be wet and that will help him recognize when he has to go. They make super thick training underwear that absorbs a lot of the urine, so that will help. Feel free to message me! We are nearing the end of potty training for our girl 😊

Training underwear, I found it on Amazon and it has a water proof layer in it but has the feel of underwear found these work better than pull ups, they leak some but they are able to feel it better than in a diaper
