Postpartum weight loss

Is anyone else’s postpartum weight just not budging whatsoever even with exercise and calorie counting? I’m now 12 weeks postpartum and the weight is not coming off at all. Baby is bottle fed but my boobs are still leaking milk so not sure whether it’s all the prolactin / hormone imbalances that is making the weight cling on?? See so many people comment how they lost all pregnancy weight gain within a matter of weeks and I know I shouldn’t compare but it’s getting me down a little For those further down the line postpartum.. how long did it take you to notice the weight starting to come off?

I’m 4 months postpartum and still have a way to go! It takes forever! And I’m 38 and second c-section. After my first baby it took 2 years to get my body back! But then I had so many complications and couldn’t work out until 4 months PP. I tried the keto diet and I lost 5lbs in a week. But my partner is a chef and keto lifestyle is a struggle in this house. If you can manage it then it might be an idea? The best thing to do is keep your protein and fat levels up and cut sugar and carbs as much as possible. I also am retraining myself for long distance running and found that is helping. I’m up to 7k runs and running is a great fat burner. After my c-section I’m finally able to work my abs and so maybe do some resistant workouts? Stay strong and motivated. You can do it! I promise. Don’t feel deflated. I also hang a picture of a time I felt the most amazing. I look at it everyday and use it as a motivation. Give yourself time. You’ve got this!!!!

I second the running. I'm doing 5k every other day and this is what is allowing my weight to creep slowly down each week. I've got just under 4kg to go to reach my goal weight. Lost 15kg so far.

I’m now 8.5 months pp after second c section and I’m 43. This morning I reached my pre pregnancy weight but I do want to lose and additional 6lbs to be where I’m most confident and comfortable. So far I’ve lost 2st 12lbs. For me the weight didn’t really start to shift until 6months pp. I’ve done a mix of running (inc buggy running) and hiit at home xx

Pregnancy puts your gut wayyyy of balance. That's why it's so hard to shift the excess weight and wobbly bits! I'm doing a c9 cleanse, I was chatting with another lady about it earlier. Its 9 days, cleanses the colon and gets rid if toxins in the Body. You do eat on it but it's calorie controlled. Im loving it so far and my mood and everything has lifted. So many people have had amazing results and it's such a healthy way to reset everything.

Also disrupted sleep does not help with weight loss. I get a solid 8 hours a night but broken here and there. I miss the days of sleeping solidly 🤣
