Looking for some advice

Have had 2 rounds of IVF with ICSI and from 25 mature eggs only 1 early blast which didn’t stick. Originally due to MFI but wondering if egg quality is a concern. Has anyone managed to improve egg quality and how? Have about 3 months now before surgical sperm retrieval to try and turn this around. Already eat well, exercise daily and am early 30s. Any help or recommendations would be amazing 🙏

Sorry you’re having such a rough time. 1 blast from 25 eggs must be so frustrating. What are you doing to manage your stress? Have you tried acupuncture/ meditation/ yoga/ mindfulness/ journaling/ something creative? It sounds like otherwise you’re doing everything you possibly can. Maybe reduce the exercise (unless it’s gentle) because this can increase your stress hormones. Especially true if you’ve got PCOS or other hormone disorders. I’d also be taking a pre-conception vitamin too. I used pregnacare. I was also taking inositol for egg quality. Best of luck with the next round xx

CoQ10 was recommended by my fertility specialist. I also have been doing acupuncture for a while, really helps with stress.

Try the book “It starts with the egg” - helped me a lot!

As Louise said, my fertility clinic also mentioned getting CoQ10 and also omega 3 tablets.

I second reading the book it starts with the egg by Rebecca Fett. My first IVF round I got 12 eggs and 0 blasts. Second round after implementing most of her suggestions we ended up with 3 blasts and one of them is now 11 weeks old 😊 Eggs take 3-4 months to mature so you absolutely can improve their quality over this time. Good luck!

What specific suggestions did you take on board, Maz? Hope you don’t me asking xx

Coqu10 and omega 3 and pineapple as well

Also agree with Coq10 I had low AMH we got 6 eggs, 3 fertilised and our second transfer is now my 15 day old son. I am sure it helped us get 50% blast rate because the quality was better. It takes 3 months to fully work and is good for sperm health as well so can both take it
