some men just need to be constantly reminded of things. my man is the same way, after many conversations and me voicing my frustrations (a lot) heās getting better at taking initiative to get things done. i understand how frustrating it can be š« just keep telling him how you feel and what you need and definitely let him know if youāre cooking or not as soon as you can, so if he needs to he can get himself food
@Charlene I WISH I could meal prep. I made breakfast lunch and dinner that was supposed to last 4 days. He ate all the lunch,dinner preps in one night. I had every intention on cooking tonight just easily fatigued these days. I was laying on the floor when he got home š«
@Izzie I'm tired of sounding like a broken record š
Gurlll let him fend for himself. Take a break try not to stress yourself.
You have to tell him because men are dumb and donāt pick up on āhey, I should help my partnerā you literally have to tell them simple and basic things
@Vanessa I should've! It's exhausting wearing all the hats, doing all the things.
@Jen so dumb š¤¦š¾āāļø lol
From being in a long term relationship for 8 years and running girl Iāve come to the conclusion that men are well and truly just stupid! Sorry if that offends any other women but they are. Why do we have to say either take the baby or cook when heās also a parent and also has eyes. Yes he didnāt carry a child for 9 months and push one out to feel how severely drained and exhausted and hot and uncomfortable my body is right now but Iām pretty sure itās written all over my face & for those saying meal prep as easy as that sounds that is still me handling all the work Iām just alternating between cooking and baby and that is whatās making her so tired. The problem is that the man shouldnāt have to ask just do! & itās not about some men need reminding. We all share the same 24 hours in a day whether itās at work or home except one involves a screaming baby which needs constant attention! I definitely feel you in the broken record as I really and truly hate it. Let him fend for himself @Mariah
I donāt think itās about men being stupid (letās not generalise, coz Iām sure men would also have plenty to say about women) seems more like a lack of communication and understanding in the relationship. Men and women are different in nature so we canāt always expect them to just do, sometimes they need guidance. My BF and I are in a relationship but also partnership, we have made clear what we need from each other and both understand our roles in raising our childā¦itās not always perfect, but we do our best to help each other and always communicate whenever things donāt go in a way thatās conducive to our household and work through our differences no matter how hard when the goal is to stay together as a family. Maybe women have to stop saying men are this and that, and say my man is this and that, coz we donāt like it when men generalise.
@Shan If I can step in when obviously needed why can't he. Thanks š„¹š«¶š¾
@Sol I hear you. For me it goes back to the broken record. I feel like I'm always asking for help. Sometimes I ask if he rather do this or that and his response is a big deep breath and an annoyed "I don't care" or "it doesn't matter" and it's not like I'm sitting around while he does the thing I've asked, I'm still trying to tackle my list for the day.
@Mariah that's the problem. Don't step in when he should be handling his shit ok. From simplest things like put your clothes in the hamper not the floor because I'lljust move them to the side till one day he has nothing to wear .... or if he says he'll handle something then let him do it don't step in for him ay. And yes tell him what you want. Not fair to expect the next person to know. Let him whinge and cry all he wants. Still do it. Ask him why he's whinging lol hell stop because it's not manly. Alternatively just give him the baby once he steps in the door. And go have a shower distress then cook in bulk. Try easy dishes like rice and stews. As well since you're so exhausted I'd suggest having a nap with the baby with NO REGRETS. Nothing in the house is that important they can wait. Plan your day w a nap included that way you'll have more energy and patience for the busy evening shift. Seriously if baby is doing 3 hour sleeps now then you too.

Try meal prepping on a day you feel good so there arenāt any surprises or text him early on in the day and ask him take grab takeout. If Iām not in the mood to cook, I let my husband know that Iām not in the mood so he has to cook that day so nobody is upset.
