No heartbeat

Has anyone went in for a scan and there was no heartbeat with baby measuring a week behind but the heartbeat came back? I’ve heard of other women saying they went in for scans and there was no heartbeat but went in for another scan a week later and the baby had a heartbeat

I’m sorry but both times thst happened for me it did not come back

How far along were you when that happened ? I can assume if it is done before 5 weeks it very likely for there to be no heartbeat yet. When I was 6 w 3 d I had an ultrasound, baby measured 5 w 3 d and supposedly the heartbeat starts around 5 weeks so it was very low.

@Natalie I was supposed to be 12 weeks but he was measuring 11

I’m so sorry but at 11/12 weeks the heartbeat would be there. I think, a lot of people who go and are told there’s no heartbeat and then see one the next time are a lot earlier, so the heart hadn’t started beating yet, or it’s too small to see on the scan.

I’m sorry but if you were that far along a heartbeat would be there. It sounds like you had a missed miscarriage, I’ve had two of them and both times I measured a week or two behind and there was no heartbeat
