Following as I’m 12 days post ovulation and I have symptoms, my boobs have been killing and heavy since Friday and on and off cramp for a week which I don’t normally get and little clusters of headaches but still negative test :(.

@Sarah-Jayne I'm 16 days post ovulation and had the cramps like I was starting me period about a week back so I know I have had implantation also got constipation too and I'm om cycle day 33 which isn't normal for me going to take a test today also keep taking your ovulation test if it get darker that can also help with when to take a pregnancy test

@Laura LH rises again before period so taking an ovulation test will not tell you much I'm afraid if your period is due. You won't be able to get a blood test, the GP will not be interested until you've missed 2 periods in a row and are testing negative usually.

@Charley yes it may rise before but what about when your period is delayed and the ovulation test is still showing something

@Laura that's what I meant, ovulation tests can naturally get darker right before your period comes so they don't help with knowing when to take a pregnancy test... It looks like you had a positive ovulation test 9 days ago, so it's more likely you have ovulated late and are now 9dpo. This will obviously delay your period. This would make sense given your previous posts about complicated cycles since coming off the pill.

I didn't post about complicated cycles

@Charley also my ovulation test was darker than the test line about a week back which when i checked it can happen during implantation as i was also experiencing cramps and back paint too cos the next day the test was a straight negative

My cycle have been quite regular and I wasn't on the pill for long only about 1 to 2 weeks max

@Laura yeah so your ovulation test being positive a week ago is pointing more towards ovulating a week ago than implantation, there actually aren't any implantation symptoms, you can't feel implantation any more than you can feel your hair growing. If you've got pain around ovulation or a positive ovulation test, this is likely from your ovaries being swollen whilst producing follicles. If you've got cramping and lower back pain and boob pain post ovulation, this is from the progesterone that maintains your lining until your period.

OK so now I'm delayed but negative test

But I'm pretty sure I didn't only ovulate a week back because the week before that I have some pains and feeling nausea too which is normal for my ovulation

@Laura it's possible for your body to fail to ovulate and try again. So you can have 2 LH peaks in a cycle. It will do all the preparation and grow all the follicles but no eggs are released, so it tries again.

But I had cramping for about a week now so that's can be ovulation cos them symtoms only last 48 hours

@Laura it's the post ovulation progesterone that is causing the cramps.
