@Emily this gives me so much hope! Really finding the long and super frequent feeds difficult on my body. Can't wait for things to get shorter
My baby slowed down more every week!! You will get there. And try feeding laying on your side with him laying down as well! It helped so much, I could eat, get comfy and be on my phone/ watch tv. Or even just close my eyes!
I’ve found that a proper normal feed for my girl was always maybe 5 minutes (15 minutes if she went a longer time 6+hours) but that’s because of my supply and how strong her latch has always been. Found she fed every 1-3 hours. I never did listen to the nurses who said only once every 3 hours for feeds. She’s been growing like a weed
This is so normal at this stage. It will get shorter as they become more efficient on the breast. I think it was around 4 months I noticed an enormous drop to about 5-10 mins a feed. He’s 8 months old now and only he’s sleepy feeds at night are longer than 10 mins. Me and some of my mum friends were talking about this today and how we miss just been able to sit down for 30 mins+ with snacks and Netflix and just be able to feed and cuddle.
