This was literally me tonight.
Me, my daughter just turned 1 and won't eat. Now won't even take custard or snacks. Stresses me. She is just all boobie still..
I just roll with it. I’m surprised she even eats the sausage because that’s hard to get babies to eat meat. You may be giving her too much. She really only needs a smalllll portion like 1 egg for breakfast
My son was the same until literally two weeks ago he randomly started eating anything and everything before that he wouldn’t eat ANYTHING outside of the teething wafers. Just keep doing what you’re doing and keep offering it to her. That’s what I did and eventually he just randomly one day decided he wants to eat now 😂
@Alexis how old is he?? Asking for a friend 🤣
@Cindy he will be 9 months this week!
With my son I don’t give him the full plate or even more than 2 peices cause he’ll just launch it. Maybe try that instead of the full plate? Keep being persistent with what you’re offering! Good luck!x
Same I’m going through hell at the moment and my little one is about to turn 1 he just turns he nose up at everything and pushes it away or dashes it on the floor and it’s stresssing me outttttt so bad I don’t know what to do I just keep still giving him food but yeah it’s a lot x
They say to avoid sausage under a year old as it’s too high in salt and the casing ideally should be removed so it is possible he isn’t eating so much as it isn’t the right types of food for him 🤷🏼♀️ My LO is 10.5 months and most of it gets thrown on the floor still as well, I have to offer it piece by piece to get her to eat anything! I don’t make anything special for her tbh, just adapt what I’m eating as it’s too much energy to watch it get thrown away. It’s hard work but just keep at it and eventually they will get there
This was my son too. He's now 18m and getting better slowly but he's such a boob monster it doesn't help things lol I found when he was younger it helped if I kept his plate on table with mine and just gave him a couple little bits of it at a time. He seemed to get overwhelmed if I gave him everything at once. Its felt slow compared to others but he's doing much better now so there is light at the end of the tunnel. He now has his meals on a proper plate I put on his tray (we were on plastic plates till about a week ago but he insisted on a proper plate) and although still not a huge eater he will work his way through what he wants on it and eat an ok portion
My baby was exactly the same (currently 13mo) and then I saw a video that said it’s ok for your baby to feel hungry, it’s healthy for them to identify that they are hungry. So I normally allow a couple of hours or more if he’s happy before main meals and when he’s hungry, he eats the whole thing!
@Cindy that’s how she is rn just straight boobie and crisps 😂😂
@Cindy I’ll give her like the chicken frankfurters and she’ll eat the whole lot and won’t even try the egg
@Alexis she was doing really well would eat anything then one day just stopped randomly I’m not sure if it’s the teething or maybe the heat ? Maybe I offer her too much snacks so I cut the snacks back

@Gemma that makes sense yeah my LO aswell gets overwhelmed the plate or she’ll just want to play with the actual plate not the food😂
@Christine 💯 I was super nervous giving him a proper plate for this reason but he kept getting upset because he wanted mine so I risked it. He just wants to copy me on everything at the moment. Even stacks his plate when finished and passes it to me now 🥰
@Christine it probably is too much snacks! I was limiting the snacks when he started to eat again. He was the same, when we first introduced solids he ate just fine and then when he started having the teething wafers and melties he didn’t want to eat anymore
@Alexis I think it’s because the snacks are sweet they don’t want no like proper food or veg 😂
@Christine I mean do you blame them though 🤷🏻♀️😂😂😂 if I could eat snacks all day I would too lmfao
You're not alone. My son is 3, he's very picky and has a lot of oral sensory issues going on. Textures and flavors will trigger it. So he sticks with chips, crackers, granola bars, cheese, watermelon, or pasta with cheese.
