From my understanding, Group B is a normal bacteria found in a certain percentage of people. I included an article from Cleveland Clinic that should help explain more. https://my.clevelandclinic.org/health/diseases/11045-group-b-streptococcus--pregnancy
I tested positive as well. It's like 1 in 4 or 1 in 5 women get it during pregnancy. There's nothing you could've done to prevent it. And yes, you will get IV antibiotics during labor, it will be fine :)
Yeah absolutely nothing to worry about, plenty of people (pregnant or not!) have it!
They will push antibiotics before u deliver. Everything should be okay. It's normal . My oldest had it and she delivered in April
I was positive with my first and negative this time with my second I had read that it can happen so it’s cool that I’m negative this time But yes all they do is give you antibiotics before delivery and you’re all set
It’s a very very common bacteria that lives on and in our bodies. It’s typically only a cause for concern during delivery. When you go in to give birth, they’ll start you on a course of antibiotics (likely some type of penicillin based medication) through your IV. Nothing to worry about!
They will give you antibiotics during labor to prevent the baby from getting it.
