Honestly, it sounds like you found a great solution to feed your baby that works for you. This is my second baby and I loved breastfeeding my first, but find I dread it a little more with my second. But, I keep it up because I'm way to cheap to invest in expensive formula đ. I also think it's cool that it provides baby exactly what they need...did you know your breast milk changes when your baby gets sick to try to help it out more?
@Ashley we arent using formula its still breastmilk i just pump. problem is its not working for us as well as id like. when im up with her at night for feedings while dad is sleeping im in and out of sleep myself but dont want to risk giving her more bottles if shes going to get confused by it
Introducing a bottle is okay now! After the first few weeks babies can then understand the difference. I use the Lansinoh bottles itâs great for breastfeeding babies and way better for latching!
I think it's ok to introduce more bottles especially if you feel unsafe. Look into paced bottle feeding. Sometimes it's not necessarily the nipple confusion, but the flow of the bottle that they get used to. So if they have to work for it a bit like at the breast, they are less likely to get a bottle preference.
I use philips avent natural response bottles and I use the milk I pumped during the day, to feed him at night. We tried other bottles and he preferred the philips because it's shape is more similar to breast. And he doesn't get confused when I actually Breastfeed. That's what's worked for us. And my baby will be 3 weeks
