Other reasons for change in nappies.

Hey, my little one has CMPA and is breastfed so I've had to cut out dairy, soya and egg as his nappies were still very green and mucousy for months on end. Only recently - I'd say they started to become more yellow and normal looking. The plan from the dietician was to start doing the egg ladder to see if he reacts to that through my milk to challenge the possible egg intolerance. All of a sudden over the last couple of weeks his nappies are now very mucousy and are often more green than yellow again but I'm still avoiding all of the above and can't think of anything else that would cause this as I haven't eaten anything new I don't think? So for now, I haven't started the egg ladder as waiting to see if his poo starts to become yellow again otherwise I feel like I'm not going to be able to identify if he's reacting to the egg or not. - has anyone noticed any reason for his nappies to change other than allergies. - can heat affect this? As it's been so hot recently. He's also been teething, I know the NHS website says teething shouldn't affect nappies but from personal experience has anyone noticed that it does?

Teething? I know online says that teething doesn’t affect nappies but we had awful ones that were very green which clearer up as soon as the teeth cut through. Her GP also said it was teething so it is possible x

@Joely I'm also thinking the same! I work in a nursery and parents always say they have mucousy nappies with teething and I feel like I've noticed the same at work. I just find it hard because that's his main symptom with his allergies too so I'm worried about reintroducing foods and not knowing if he's okay or not. Just out of interest, how old was your little one when she first cut her tooth?x

Hi this might not be it but my daughters 2 and has a CPMA I used to wonder why nappies were ok then not ok for literally like a year and now she’s being tested for celiac disease so just sharing incase that’s a possibility xx

@Carolyn I'm just gonna drop you a message with that's okay?x

@Tyler I think she was around 4 months old - she’s 10 months now🤗 x
