Confused

Anyone know what’s going on? Yesterday afternoon I took this test and it had a clear pink positive line. When I took a test this morning it looked like this. I feel so sad and defeated. Anyone have advice?

Im in the same boat I was having clear pink and blue lines and now my pinks are negative but my blues come up faint. Following as well

I’m afraid there’s a chance it could be a chemical pregnancy. I would keep testing over the next few days but if there is no darker line progression using the same tests at the same time of day (first morning urine ideally) then unfortunately a chemical is often the answer. Keep testing just in case this second one was a dodgy test though hun

I am also in the same boat. Following

@Sarah thank you♥️ the first one was in the afternoon so I’ll be testing again this afternoon. I’m still having lots of symptoms so I’m hoping it’s just the time difference or something like that

Just for a diff of opinion, I personally don't put much faith in line progression.In theory it makes sense, & yes it can indicate a chemical.But pregnancy tests aren't designed to work in this way,they are massively affected by hydration- hence why it's advised to be done AM.Plus, we know after 2min tests are invalid because the line can change,& your test from yesterday is now 24 hrs old.If it was 100% accurate way of indicating if a pregnancy was progressing well,doctors would use it,it would be advertised by the makers of the tests to sell more.Don't lose hope.I know some people find reassurance in line progression-it is an individual choice.But if it's stressing you out, it may be a good idea to leave it be. Take your positive test, and as long as you aren't expierening bleeding or pain, you are still pregnant. Again- no one can guarantee a chemical won't happen, but no one can say it will either, and less stress is certainly better for you and baby!

@Sally thank you♥️😭♥️

@Sally so is being too hydrated can that make a test lighter or?

Yes it is. I think people get mixed up because ovulation tests can be taken any time of the day and the darkness of the line will be accurate to your hormone levels. Pregnancy tests don't do that, so if you had more to drink the night before, and more wee in your bladder in the morning, the hormones will be diluted down and the line won't be as dark. This is why they advise to do tests first thing in the morning when it's likely to be most concentrated, but you may be more or less hydrated from day to day, so it's difficult to compare the two. Obviously over time the lines should get darker- like week to week- but it's not 100% accurate day to day. I had two very light tests when I got pregnant, didn't test again, and she's here now :) was just less worry for me to confirm it, and then let it be xx

@Sally this is super informative, thank you! I too am super confused by this all 🫶🏻

It's not the most popular opinion on here. I think because people do it, more people do. And if it reassures you and your lines are getting stronger, by all means go for it! But if they aren't, and it's creating more worry, I think it's best to know that only a blood test can give you a fully accurate reading of your hormone levels xx

Did you do another test first thing this morning?

@Sarah I’m waiting until tomorrow morning because I didn’t have a test on me. I’m running errands today so I’ll be grabbing more

Good luck!

@Sarah thank you!
