Cleaner

I feel like if any group can put me onto this then it will be this group - but I'm starting my own little cleaning business - just taking on a few clients at the mo as will fit around my childcare. Anyone advise me on what the do themselves for a clean or what the expect from a cleaner ? Got the basic wipe downs, vacuum/mop/ Polish, change bedding, wipe down sockets switches and doors... plus anything else requested specifically but I just want to go the extra mile to keep client retention. Any help welcome 😊😊

I always find it helpful when the cleaners always circulate certain cleans that take a bit longer so for example a fridge clean once a month is really helpful and then an oven clean once a month is also really helpful and other things that could be slightly more deep clean that take a bit longer if they get done once a month also super helpful

I had one Cleaner that offered that service and I kept her for years until we moved house and was super sad. She couldn’t do our new home because it was too far away.

@Shivani thank you

Coving and skirting boards! Remember to dust those too! That's one way to tell a good cleaner. Also, be careful to use the right product for the surface. I have real wood furniture and sometimes a new cleaner will come (usually a young new staff member) and they use something life Zoflora on it 😬.

My cleaner is more of a home helper. She helps declutter and organise spaces on a rotation with me as well as general cleans and every month we pick a room for a "deep clean" As in pulling out furniture and taking things apart to clean like the hoover etc. We also have things like defrost the freezer and pull out the oven and clean behind it on a 3 month rotation and she's to tell me if she notices things piling up or me stock piling groceries or amazon packages (I have anxiety and chronic health conditions so stock pile when I'm spiralling) She also helps me keep on top of my sons clothes and toys he's outgrown, we sort them, photo them, I list them on sale sites and she bags and tags them and stores them until I sell them. Shes an absolute godsend and if I could afford her 6hrs a week I would but I make do with 2-3hrs every week currently
