Hook effect is real.

Hey ladies, So I just wanted to show you how the hook effect works and why it’s best you stop testing once you get your dye stealer. I’ve been doing it purely for experimenting reasons, and was quite surprised at how it works! I’m 7 weeks today and for the last week or so the hook effect has been hitting my tests. The top test is urine diluted with 50% water The middle is about 70% water The bottom is about 95% water You can clearly see how much stronger the bottom line is compared to the rest. Very interesting! Testing after a dye stealer causes unnecessary worry, but if you really really must, make sure you dilute it! 😀

This is so helpful! I’ve been so worried coz still haven’t had my dye stealer but maybe it’s cos im always doinf fmu? could that be why?xx

@Kacie it depends what brand of test your using, easy at home take forever to get a dye stealer! You may not get one, not everyone does. It could be because your far ahead now and your HCG is too high so hook effect is happening. How many dpo are you? X

@Alexandra I’m using the one step which we 10miu and I’m 6 weeks tomoz so like 20 something DPO xx

Yeah took me to get to about 20dpo to get a dye stealer! You may not get one on a one step. X

@Joyce dye stealer is when test line is darker than control line, people look for it as in theory it’s as strong as it can be x
