Patience

Does anyone else struggle with patience? I sometimes feel like I can’t breathe when my child won’t calm down and it’s the hardest part about being a single mom cause I don’t have anyone to help me in those moments. Any advice?😭 how to coop and grow more patient?

If you feel like you’re struggling there’s no harm in putting the baby in a safe space like their cot to have a breather 🤍 what about listening to a podcast or music while baby is crying and you’re trying to settle them xx

As @Ffion said place baby in a safe space and walk away. If you can go for a walk or stand outside sometimes it’s a good reset

Water and fresh air is also a life savour in the difficult moments

Not sure how old your little one is, but I feel like this now mines a toddler and she’s throwing a tantrum. It’s so hard especially being single and having no break! Have you tried headphones? Or those loop earplugs if it’s the noise that gets to you x

Omg i have been experiencing a crisis eith this! I lack patience generally but when he is throwing a tantrum i jsut cant i havs broken down so many times or screamed into a pillow!!

@Chloe he’s two and he’s been throwing himself on the ground a lot when he doesn’t get what he wants or if I don’t put on the right shoes he wants or right now, he’s really attached to two stuffies and if I take them away to change his shirt, it’s the end of the world. This morning he woke up at 5:30am and screamed and cried saying he wanted to go on a walk.. it was dark out still and im not comfortable going on a walk at that time but he would not stop screaming in my face

I get really bad anxiety attacks at times because of it @Dily i wish i knew how to deal with it better

@Chloe I’ve thought about putting my noise cancelling headphones in but every time the thought of them comes up, I feel guiltyso I don’t use them but I feel like they could help
