Anyone else test positive for Group Beta strep? I guess 35% of healthy women have it, but it means having to have an IV on antibiotics during labor 😣 doctor’s appointment is next week to learn more.

It's definitely nothing to worry about! Just delivered today & baby is perfectly fine. The meds do burn though. It's not that bad but annoying if anything. I needed an ice pack on my arm as the medicine was being administered
You can always decline the antibiotics, it’s a really low chance baby will get sick about 1-2%. But of course do your own research and see for yourself!
Yup! Not a big deal. Just means we won antibiotics every 4 hours in labor to protect baby.

Agreed. I was GBS positive and baby was totally fine. I didn’t feel any effects with the penicillin!
