How long did your NIPT cfdna take in CA?

After 3 weeks of waiting- my doctors office called to let me know it looks like the lab that drew my blood 3 weeks ago lost my sample and it never made it to the state lab! At least we have confirmation of what we thought happened and I was able to get my blood drawn again yesterday (at a different lab). Anyone in CA have any insight as to how long it took to get your first NIPT back? I’m in Northern CA ☺️

My cousin is in CA and hers took about 10 business days. I’m in Miami and mine took 8 business days. But this was also last year so not 100% sure what this years is going to look like

Oof that’s a bummer 😖 I got my blood drawn on a Wednesday and got my results back on the following Monday. So less than a week for me! I’m in San Diego. I hope you get your results back quickly!

@sarah thanks! I figured probably another 2 weeks. At least this time the lab will get my sample 😂

my first pregnancy the same happened to me! make sureeeee they don’t bill you for the lost sample bc i didn’t notice but they billed me 🥲

@Josie thanks for sharing! I went in the quest portal and it’s already showing the lab has my sample- I got it drawn yesterday at 3:30pm. So hopefully I’ll have results sometime next week!

@sarah I will definitely keep an eye out.. my doctors office said they will cover any out of pocket cost that may happen even though the other one wasn’t processed
