Heavy bleeding (large pre-placental hematoma) -- any successful pregnancy after?

I'm 15 weeks. While standing in my classroom yesterday morning I felt a warm gush, then another, then immediately went to a bathroom where more blood and a tissue mass about 3-4 cm In length fell out. I quickly got to my boss to get a sub in my room and left for the ER. After 6+ hours and an IV for fluids I was released with restriction of nothing over 10 lbs and minimal to no walking for 3 days (when I'll get evaluated by my OB), which is challenging already since I have a 2 year old. They found a large (5.1 x 2.6 x 5.6 cm) pre-placental hematoma. So the bleeding is between the placenta and the baby. Apparently less common because hematoma tend to be between placenta and uterine wall. Definitely not great news, but baby still fighting with a strong heartbeat, so that's a positive. Anyone have or know someone who had this in 2nd trimester and continued to have a healthy pregnancy and baby? I'm already seeing high risk doctors because my daughter was born 2 months early with no found reason.

No experience with this but I wanted to say stay strong and I’m praying for you and your baby 💗💗

Praying for you and baby girl ♥️🙏🏻

I am now 18 weeks and at 12 weeks was at a baseball game when I had the same happen. Gushes of blood and I assumed I miscarried. Ultrasound next day shows large subchorionic hematoma. It’s been 6 weeks and I still bleed everyday (dark and not enough to fill a pad) but baby is healthy and I just started feeling movement! My doctors said most of the time our bodies absorb or dispel of the hematoma. Positive thoughts sent your way!!!

I just had a lot of bleeding I just turned 17 weeks yesterday and on Tuesday after my doctors appointment I started bleeding dark blood, doctor had me come back in and do a sonogram and they said I have subchorionic hematoma. Said it’s normal and baby is perfectly healthy. Still bleeding and lots of cramping. Prayers to you.

Not exactly the same. But I have a subchorionic hematoma and had large gushes/blood clots of bleeding at week 7 and 8 of pregnancy. I’m now 16 weeks pregnant and a teacher if you ever want someone to talk to. Sending you and that baby positive vibes for a healthy pregnancy
