How did you tell your students?

I am 12 weeks next week and work in a further education college, teaching on a 2 year programme. So I have known the 2nd years for a while already so feel comfortable telling them, however I’ve met the first years only today for the first time and don’t know how/when to tell them? Any advice/tips/ how did your students take it?

I didn't - didn't show for the first 5 months then came back from Christmas holidays with a bump ha

I told them the day I met this year's class (I'm a lot further along though) as it's a special needs school and we didn't want them to think they had me for the whole year then I'd be off suddenly and it be a shock to them! But they were all great luckily x
