20 week Scan

Hi, I saw a post on another page, that in some places, they won’t write the gender down on a piece of paper and will only tell you verbally. I’m having a gender reveal party, and was really counting on being able to hand a piece of paper to a friend that’s organising the party, but now I’m worried they might not do that. Has anybody had this issue at Maidstone Hospital?

If you ask them to write it down when you go in rather then tell you it should be fine hun as that’s what my sister did at Maidstone hospital but if you’re that worried about them only telling verbally then take that friend with you and get them to tell her once you’ve left the room x

They did this for us at Maidstone at my 20 week scan so I think you will be fine x

I have no experience of this but there are signs in the waiting room that says they won’t do it, clearly from the other replies this isn’t always true but it might be a depends who you get scenario

@Katie that’s really strange because they offered it to us as we want sure if we wanted to know or not! And the envelope with the paper inside was a proper printed “it’s a girl” paper so looked very official. Wasn’t just written on paper if you get what I mean. Like you say maybe it depends on the sonographer x
