Toddler has HFMD but we also have a newborn
So worried about our newborn catching it. He’s 7 weeks so hasn’t even had his first set of jabs yet! Trying to keep them separated but our toddler would have been contagious before symptoms appeared and they were in constant proximity earlier in the week. Has anyone had any experience of this? What did you do?
Hey, I was in this exact situation when my baby was 6 weeks old and my toddler caught HFMD. I ended up catching it too and was breastfeeding so I wore surgical gloves for a week as I had blisters all over my hands and I also did lots of washing and cleaning as it can be passed on through surfaces and clothing, my baby didn’t get it thankfully.
