Whooping cough 💉

Hii, I’m currently 20 + 1 and wondered when you all got yours? Not sure when will I be offered the vaccine or is there a specific time frame I would need to get this? I wasn’t offered nor was it ever been discussed to me during my scans or midwife appointment so I’m not sure if this is like a required vaccine or something I need to bring up to have. Sorry first time mum here I feel like I’m going in a bit blindly through this pregnancy and relying a lot on Dr. google 😅

I got mine at 19 weeks, they said you just have to be over 16 weeks but not too far along to make sure baby can absorb it all before they’re out x

I asked for it at my “16 week” appointment (that I had at 19 weeks)

I got offered it after my 20 week scan at 20+1 weeks, I believe you can get it between 16 weeks and 32 weeks but good to get it as early as possible so there’s plenty time for it to do what it needs to do x

As above you can get it from 16 weeks, I had to ring up my GP and book it myself through them, but I know alot of maternity hospitals also offer it, so maybe ask your midwife or call your GP I'd say x

NHS website says it’s recommended to have it between 16- 32 weeks but usually given around 20 weeks. This time my midwife says they have a clinic at the hospital and I can get it there after my 20 week scan (on the same day). However last pregnancy I contacted my gp and I booked it through them so if you’ve had no info I would speak to the gp.

I got mines on the 17th September and I was 17 weeks on the day. I got it during my antenatal appointment with my midwife
