Embarrassing hygiene question 😬

I'm not sure if there is an answer for this but I figured I'd ask. When I take a shower and wash my butt, after I get out and say I go to use the restroom at work, I can still smell an odor. I'm very intentional about washing back there and downstairs in general. I used dial antibacterial soap back there because I understand that bacteria causes odor. It still doesn't help. I also wash a few times to make sure I'm clean. My vaginal area doesn't have a foul odor perse but it also, being in that downstairs area, has a smell. Just an unclean smell. Is there anything I can do to be fresh in my underwear area?

First of all I just wanna say it’s good that you care about your hygiene. some people have excessive hormones, or an imbalance that can cause a smell. Especially postpartum I feel. There’s this body deodorant called Lume, they have acidic soaps to keep you fresher for longer. Also, the body deodorant is perfect for your butt! Look at the reviews on Amazon and see if it’s for you. I also use witch hazel under my pits and in “crevasses” if you get my gist. I hope this was of some help, please don’t be embarrassed.

@Kayleigh Thank you so much 💕.

Its possible you’re cleaning too much. Washing down there with any soap messes with your PH balance which can cause infection/smell

Close ur legs

I agree with the above mentioned over-washing/using incorrect cleansers or methods, BUT one thing I dealt with for a while when I had similar issues was the material of my underwear not allowing "her" to breathe properly. I switched to ALL cotton underwear and after a few weeks the issue resolved itself. I also literally never wear underwear if I'm at home, too. Usually just some comfy pants and whatever shirt. As for showering, I use the unscented/sensitive Summer's Eve wash ONLY on the outside and this, along with the underwear switch, has kept the issue completely resolved for years now. 🥰 If that doesn't help, definitely see your doctor. You could have BV or a hormonal imbalance that's causing this to happen. Best of luck to you!

Wear looser breathable cotton underwear that is 100 percent cotton. Tight fitted underwear and polyester or cotton blends ( not full cotton) trap sweat and bacteria more prone for infection. Use water to wipe after pooping. If the smell is still there after doing this there might be an infection some ppl are just more prone to infection even if they are clean. Cuz their immune system is not as strong

Eat yogurt too and take probiotics to balance things out

Try avoiding sex and seeing a doctor
