Falls

I've done well not to have any falls since being pregnant. Currently 31 wks and had my first fall. Are you meant to get checked out every time? I didn't fall on my belly (that I can remember) I don't know how I fell. All I know is my ankle is sore af and got a nice cut down the front of my leg. Also my o/h had a proper moan at me for it. Like I could prevent it 🤦‍♀️

Maybe phone triage just to tell them and ask? I’ve fallen twice (dogs knocking me over) the first time I went in as I didn’t feel any movement at all after. The second time I didn’t go in after talking to them - could feel movement, no bleeding, no cramps, no bump pain. I think always best to phone just so they can run through a few questions.

With my first I slipped and fell whilst getting into the shower and bruised my thigh in the third trimester and I called triage and they asked me to come in and I got checked over and all was fine thankfully. Better to get checked out to be honest

I read any fall on bum or bump but if you're concerned triage won't mind a call at all. You can't be wrong calling! Even if you call them and describe it and they say no need for concern, at least you know! Every fall is different and every person is different! I have to call for every knock to belly even if it's not a fall or "trauma" because I need Anti D. When I fell the first time I didn't know if I hit my bump. My partner was certain that my hands caught me. I wasn't. I decided I wasn't certain enough to be sure and I was only 19 weeks and beside myself. They saw me anyway, put scanner on everything, anti D jab (which I didn't know I'd need at the time). They never mind seeing you.

I fell earlier in my pregnancy and even though I didn’t fall on my bump I was advised to call triage as they like to check your blood type to see if you may need an injection. X

If you are rhesus negative you'll probably need an anti D shot đź’‰. Hope all is well.
