That's odd. I also got referred at my 34 week app few weeks ago due to measuring big although she booked the appointment for me. Maybe it's because you had to have an appointment rather than just turning up? My midwife gave me a pink appointment card and told me to make sure I take it with me when I go. The earliest they could fit me in was this week when I was 36+3 days so they defo do them before 37 weeks. My consultant gave off because I saw her at 35 weeks to discuss my birth plan and she said it was daft that they booked my growth scan is for a date after I was scheduled with her and basically they should have booked me in earlier so she had the results of the scan first. I'd speak to your midwife and tell her what's happened.
I had the pink card with me which explained the reason why etc… and my midwife had rung down to tell them I was coming but honestly, they were so rude and awful and just told me no! I was left feeling a bit of an idiot, almost like I had done something wrong! I’ll give my midwife a call today and see what she says. X
That’s awful, I never experienced that! I went in for reduced movement at 35 weeks & to put my mind at rest they called down and sent me straight for a scan there and then x
That’s ridiculous, I had a growth scan at 28 weeks and considering your midwife called ahead to sort it out they should have been doing it
