Allergy to perfume

Hi All, I just got a new perfume yesterday from Bath and Body Works. I normally wear perfume every day or most days. My son never had a reaction to any of the perfumes I’ve worn but the one I got yesterday he’s had two reactions to me wearing it. His face becomes red and blotchy. I dont usually wear alot of perfume but with the new perfume I love it so much I did go heavy on it. Is there any suggestions on where I can put it on my body (lightly) that maybe he wont react to it from coming in contact? I got it in the body wash too. I dont really want to have to return it but if I need too I will. I dont want my son to keep having a reaction every time I hold him.
