you will definitely be able to see boy parts in the ultrasound at that point , and if there aren’t any visible parts it’s most likely a girl but i would go and get the gender test from the pharmacy to confirm before shopping for them. as far as clothes if they say it’s a boy i would def go buy boy stuff but if it’s a girl i would probably go for neutral clothes and nothing with images like flowers animals patterns or anything. you really only need a handful of clothes for 0-3 months then after that once you have the in your arms you’ll be able to go out and do more shopping. try to look for free hand me downs in your area if you feel you need extra clothes. in my experience i wish i spent my money on 9-18m clothes instead of buying infant stuff. also better to buy when it’s the right season so you don’t waste money on clothes they won’t fit into because it’s too hot or cold at the time
Here is my ultrasound at 20 weeks showing I’m having a girl! It’s quite clear as long as the sonographer is able to get the right view
Did you do the blood test? My last ultrasound was August 30th so that was when I was 4 months and it was confirmed I was having a little girl since they saw under her little tooshy and in between, was her v. But this was at the hospital. Depending on how they have the ultrasound wand and how your baby wants to move around, they can see by now what the gender is by 23 weeks.
They can tell at 19 weeks via ultrasound
Go to Wellstar obygn, they will do tests your first appointment and offer a unity test which covers chromosomes and does a gender blood test (Unity Screening) If you’re on state health care it will cover it.
Thank you everyone for your thoughts and suggestions! I’ll post a picture on the 15th 😀 I’m excited to find out.
It is very very obvious at 24 weeks. That said, there are always things happening that can blur the images - perhaps baby doesn’t cooperate and get in a good position to look, your bladder might get in the way, etc. at this point, those sneak peak tests would be practically 99% accurate, so that is an option too. Good luck finding an OB provider!! Definitely something you will want to find soon as you will be due for your gestational diabetes test soon and your rh shot if necessary!
