My son had FPIES- it’s a GI response to certain food proteins. Basically they vomit an hour or two after eating the food and are otherwise fine. Just in case, you could try avocado and banana again and watch her closely for the next few hours (even keep her close during nap time). If it is FPIES kids usually just grow out of it after age 2-3. Hopefully just an off day for her!
Could have been an air bubble in her tummy? How long after did she vomit after eating?
Look for hives next. Then look for mucus or blood in the stool. Thats more a sign of allergy. My little guy is allergic to wheat. It didn’t show up til his day 3 on wheat and was blood in the stool and face hives. We decided after talking to our doctor to microdose him with wheat daily. It’s created mucus in the stool now, but no blood. Vomiting from a food allergy can happen. It’s just usually connected with other symptoms. Shortness of breath, coughing, wheezing? But mostly hives.
@Cassie it was about an hour, right when we left the grocery store she was in her car seat and boom everywhere
@Karin thank you so so much this is very helpful!
Something similar happened to my baby a week or two ago! I gave him banana and strawberry mixed together and he started throwing up. He threw up maybe 5 times within 2-3 hours and was completely Fine after that. He seemed a bit lethargic and weak during that period though. Its made me nervous to mix foods again. He was previously fine with both foods separate
looks normal
