@Anza isn’t the patch hormonal too?
The only thing I’ve heard bad about the copper iud is worse period symptoms which I can understand considering it’s placed in your uterus
Nah, its not much as compared to pills. Doctor said this goes in blood stream and doesn't cause much side effects. Im doing good so far since 3 months.
I got the copper IUD when my son turned 3months. And I think it is the best suited for me. I haven’t noticed any crazy hormone changes or period irregularities. I’m about to start my 3rd cycle with it and all I’ve noticed is that I’m a little more nauseous and cramping a week before I start. I will also say that that first day of my first period with it was pretty bad! A few people have compared it to “feeling like your insides are falling out” which yeah… that’s pretty accurate. lol I just took some prescribed ibuprofen I had left from post labor. It’s nothing unbearable but definitely not comfortable.
@Macie did you have a c section or a vaginal delivery??
@Rocio Cuevas vaginal. Luckily we didn’t have any complications.
I had a copper iud. Had to have it taken out early because my body rejected it. Also, having it put in hurts more than you think. I bled for 3 weeks post placement, and had to be checked out twice because my period turned black. Just watch out for rejection symtoms.
@Sapphire that’s exactly what I’m afraid of. Thanks for sharing!
I had the copper iud under general anesthesia because I just don’t want to deal with the pain of inserting it and I get slightly more bleeding during my periods but so far I like it
@Anza what’s the name of the patches you used?
Idk namez i can dm u the photo instead
I heard birth control has worse side effects damaging from mental to physical health in terms of hormones changes and body appearance. My friend recommended transdermal patch and its a game changer. No side effects no body changes no more mood swings and im easily able to loose pregnancy weight with diet and intermittent fasting. I'd suggest try transdermal patch to avoid side effects?
