Baby wrap/carrier recommendations

I have so many wraps/carriers but I don’t really like any of them. I never feel like the wraps are tight enough/holding my newborn in a good position and the carriers just seem too big for her. She is only 7lb. Any recommendations for a good one for small baby? Or videos to watch how to tie a wrap properly because I just don’t feel like she is supported enough. Photo for ref.

Freerider wrap! I lived in mine with my daughter till she was about 7/8 months….you tie it yourself so can adjust the tightness. Seems daunting at first but once you’ve practiced 2 or 3 times it’s so easy x

Freerider have a video on how tie it that helps with any you already have

Zoberlo is amazing!! My baby is in the third percentile and I love love love my Zoberlo wrap!

There’s a pic on my account of me holding him in the wrap

Usually with these wraps it's a case of it not being tight enough to start with. It should be swimsuit tight before you put baby in 😊

I had the same issue with my old one so I bought the Izmi bamboo sling and it’s much more supportive. When you’re putting it on, you want it to be nice and tight - as tight as a swimming costume. As long as you’re able to take a deep breath while it’s on, it won’t be too tight for the baby. You want baby’s head to be resting on your breastbone so you can easily kiss the top of his head.

Moby wrap, ergo baby carrier when bigger. I used the moby when my daughter was 6 pounds

Close caboo, can use from 2.3kg

Find a sling library near you. They are really helpful for advice on positioning

I loved my ergobaby omni 360. Can use it from 7lb up my wee girl was 8lb here and a couple of weeks old.

Try your local sling library x

You aren’t tying it tight enough. It needs to be tighter than you think it should be. Stretchy wraps also will stretch out over time while wearing it because of the weight of the baby and you’ll need to retie often
