My daughter wouldn’t even swallow the SMA althera. Tried twice and she wouldn’t take it, so I called the doctor back the next day and they prescribed aptamil pepti 1 and she was a lot better on that. So we put it down she hated the taste of the SMA one.
My baby has been on this since about 3/4 months old she got used to the taste luckily I’ve read things about you can put vanilla extract (no alcohol version) in (ask your GP/health professional/health visitor if this is allowed hope it settles for her. I would say around a week later she was so much happier she’s now 11 months xx
Yep baby has been on it for almost 2 weeks her poo is runnier and green alot of the time. I will however take that over the mucus and blood she had previously. It did take about 5 days to notice an improvement in my daughter but she's so much more settled on the sma she got used to the taste eventually.
My baby can’t sleep because of reflux from the formula and gas her tummy cramps a lot and she is so unsettled I don’t know if I need to request for changing formula or what to do ? My son used to be on pepti 1 never had gas issue only reflux but it’s solved with omeprazole but with my daughter everything just seems much worse
I know they say it takes up to 6 weeks for you to see a difference. You could always ask and see what they say. I know it’s awful I am not going to lie I’m due my second daughter within weeks and dreading if she is another CMPA and reflux baby it was so tough. Should also say we found using carobel with the pepti 1 helped her reflux better than the medication. Just thickens up the milk to help it stay in the tummy.
My Baby has been of for 4 weeks. The farts and poos stink but she is generally happier on it and her poo has been green the whole time. Most of hers are moist but the gp recommended we try due to her symptoms being super constipated and it’s solved that
