Yes it contains steroid, I wouldn’t use it tbh is it oozing ?

My daughter had a flare and they said it was infected and I questioned the dr and he couldn’t give me a reason

Sorry for the multiple messages. I asked a friend of mine who’s been through it for a number of years with eczema and going through topical steroid withdrawal and she said it looks more like an allergic reaction and I took matters into my own hands and just used piriton to help combat the itchiness and provide some relief and used aloe Vera to soothe and the normal body moisturiser we use for my daughter by la Roche posay lipkar with aquaphor and her skin healed

Anything with a percentage be wary of and always try to question. I know it can be hard especially when we’re even feeling heightened anxiety or stress due to our children being unwell or distressed due to flare ups etc

@Victoria she got antibiotics aswel as her body apart from eczema covered in small red spots which suddenly appeared yesterday and spread overnight and she have a chest infection too she coughing badly and her eczema very bad spreaded more patches and angry red one of them it’s oozing on her elbow it’s pretty bad crusty and yellow he said use it for two weeks but I thought it’s not steroid it’s antibiotics cream

I would recommend trying a Dead Sea salt mineral bath for eczema. Has done WONDERS for my girl and my partner. Haven’t seen this recommended much but it’s been the only truly effective thing

Ahh yeah so it’s definitely an infection

Yeah antibiotics will help internally but the cream for external tbh but it does contain steroid it’s normally used to treat fungal stuff what you were prescribed. Using Dead Sea salt is good too like senie said as it’d help for infections and it’s a natural source

We bought the westlab one for our daughter after our gp visit too. You can get it from boots or Holland and Barratt or even supermarkets make sure it’s the Dead Sea salt one and it says soothes and good for eczema

@Victoria thank you so much x will definitely try it x eczema it’s a horrible thing to have no matter child or adult the itching unbearable 😢

Yeah I agree @Sara something you can do if not already is find out allergies and intolerances and I’d recommend doing this outside the NHS if possible. It’s helped me so much for my children
