Could be a number of things from teething to a tummy bug to some sort of infection. We aren’t doctors so it’s best to take her down to the doctors/hospital and get her checked over
@Asha I have to go to er cause sick ?
@Julia I thought under 3 months fever wasn’t a reason to rush right away to er no ? Just asking !
@Emilia No it’s not but if you’re worried you can take her in or if you have an out of hours number that you can call for advice then do that. But a temp and loose nappies could be a number of things in babies such as teething, sickness bug or an infection of some sort. It all depends on any other symptoms that she has such as is she eating? Is she her usual self? Such as playing/interacting normally with you? Or is she tried? Is she drowsy? Is she lethargic? Is she vomiting? It honestly all depends on how she’s feeling. If you think she’s fine in herself then just make her a doctors appointment tomorrow morning but if you think that she’s not her usual self, is off her food, is drowsy and lethargic then it’s best to get her checked over tonight. Have you gave her anything for the temp? If you have has it brought it down? Has it stayed the same? Or has it gone down? It really depends on how your baby is and you know her best☺️x
@Julia ah okay thank you !!! Yes she’s playful and eating well good wet nappies but loose stools 1 so far she drinks good as well really just the diarrhea and fever bothering me but ill call pedietrician tomorrow ^^
@Emilia As long as she’s happy in herself then just keep an eye on her. Give her something for the fever like calpol or something similar. If it’s just the one loose nappy then it’s fine it could just be teething as teething can cause a low grade fever and loose nappies and also a nappy rash, off their food and more whinge x
A fever over something like... 38.6 would be a cause for concern and warrant a trip to the ER. If the fever is responding well to medication, you may not need to though, just keep an eye on it. Ask your doctor about this but in order to manage fever and symptoms, after 6 months you can alternate children's Tylenol and Motrin. Acetaminophen and ibuprofen each have daily caps, but if you alternate them you can give them at more regular intervals and not have to worry about the daily limit, while keeping the fever under control. Don't be afraid of the dose. Give her the correct amount for weight, not less. It might be tempting to be afraid of an overdose, but a smaller dose won't be as effective. Keep her hydrated. Feed smaller amounts frequently, and if she is on solids already, give sips of water. Even if she's not taking much to food right now, water is still fine in small amounts. Keep an eye out for dehydration because of the diarrhea.
If you feel like you can effectively manage the symptoms and keep them under control then the doctor may not be necessary, however, always trust your gut. If you feel like something isn't right, take her in. Just be prepared to be waiting awhile if it's an ER or a walk in clinic.
@Melissa thank you! Will def keep an eye out gave her Tylenol at the moment ^_^ usually helps
Call a doctor or take her to urgent care or to a&e
