Mine does too! And my first did until she was 2 and a few months. With my first I decided to go cold turkey and explained she could have milk in a cup but no more bottles. We had the mother of all tantrums on night 1 and in the morning the next day and then that was it. My plan is to do the same for my son probably march next year when I’m certain he’ll understand when I say he can have a cup not a bottle… plus I think I’m aiming to potty train in spring/summer so plan is he’s used to no drink before bedtime when we start that 😊
You’re ashamed?! Why?? My son has milk for his nap and before bed… I didn’t know there was anything wrong with this. Can someone please explain what I’m missing? X
@Emma I keep being told by different people, including health professionals, that this should of stopped ages ago 😣
My daughter still has three bottles a day lol she loves them so why not, as long as she’s eating and stuff I genuinely don’t see anything wrong with it personally xx
My son has a bottle at 5:30pm on way home from nursery. Bottle before bed and sometimes a bottle during the night Nothing wrong with milk before naps or bed xx
The recommendations is mainly about the bottles rather than the milk. It's personal choice though so if you're happy to still give it then ignore any judgement. The bottle thing is due to teeth/cavity risk; they recommend to stop bottles at 1. But I don't know many who have! We still BF before nap and bed and in morning so he still has milk 😊 its his comfort
My daughter still has milk at nap time, before bed to help her go to sleep and during the night if needed.
My son has milk bottles before bed and during the night still and I think he's seen someone at nursery having them during the day as sometimes he'll ask for one in the day time too now. I'm not stopping him until he decides he's ready as he eats really well and is generally pretty happy x
My little one does all this too! Nothing wrong with it at all. Ignore what people say x
My boy still has bottles before bedtime, nap time and more often than not during the night too! I’d have zero chance of him sleeping without them 😂 I’m not sure how nursery do it but he doesn’t have any there and takes himself off for a nap!
My little girl still has before nap and before bed too! Tried to change it to a different vessel instead of a bottle but she's having none of it! No idea how to change it 🙈
