Csection

When I had my first daughter at Winchester, I went home the day after my csection. I’m having this new baby via csection again at QA but swear I saw a poster saying they keep you in for 4 days?! Does anyone know how long they will keep you in for after a csection (if there’s no issues)

I think as soon as you and baby are good they get you out and home ASAP I’m booked in to have mine at QA in a few weeks but I’ve not been told or seen anything to suggest mandatory 4 day stay. Friends I have spoken to said they have been out fairly quickly after theirs

@Rachel thank you! I did think 4 days was a bit excessive 😂 got mine booked for the 15th November 🙌🏻

I had a emergency C-section at QA in July this year and was only in 1 night, left the day after I had my baby.

I asked to go home the day after my emergency C section, but it did mean I was limited in what painkillers I could take. I wanted my bed more than painkillers as I’d been in hospital so long by that point tho 😅

I self discharged at 20hrs post CS last month. Ward midwife told me usually you are kept in for at least 24hours.

Thank you ladies! Just trying to plan child care for my daughter plus I’ve been in and out of QA the last month with this pregnancy so I’m tired of the midwives now 😂

I had a c section and was sent home the day after in the eve xx

Mine was planned and I went home the next day. 😊

i had an elective at QA in jan 2022 and spent 1 night in hospital - arrived at 7am monday and left maybe 4pm tuesday? x
