Are you sure he's definitely hungry when you're feeding every 1-1.5 hours if he's not taking the full bottle? Might be worth trying to distract him or play or he might just want comfort (I use dummies but I know not everyone likes them)
He makes the usual mouth movements when he’s hungry, and keeps spitting out his dummy cos he wants the bottle rather. He takes the dummy then realises it’s not the bottle and spits it out and carries on crying, then takes the bottle and drinks straight away
my baby is 4 weeks old on sunday and has been drinking every 1.5 hours pretty much since birth, he drinks 2/3 oz each time 😅 hes only just starting to go a bit longer at night but even then often it’s still 1.5 hours, he’s just a hungry babe 😅xx
This is normal for a 1 week old, I would continue feeding on demand
This is fairly normal. There's a bit of a growth spurt around a week old, and it tends to cause cluster feeding. You'll probably find that any time the baby goes through a growth, spurt feeding will change in some way.
