Workout: yes or no

Hi! I’m 20 weeks pregnant (tomorrow) with 2.3 cervix and now on progesterone. My doctor told me it’s okay to lift weights, just not too heavy. My husband thinks that if doctor gave a green light, I should keep working out. But I’m scared that it can still affect me.

I'm 2.9 cervix, have a cervical cerclage in place, and I’m on progesterone every night. And my doctor said absolutely not working out, nor even carrying my 3-year-old son and not walking more than 10 minutes daily since week 21. Maybe she's too cautious, but I would rather not risk it.

@Ana thank you for your response! Yes, I’ve decided I can’t risk it and no matter what doctor says, I’ll stop working out for the rest of my pregnancy.

Yes, for me, peace of mind is the key. Best of luck 🥰

I was too diagnosed with 1.8 cervix at 20th week scan and was pneumonia Progesterone suppositories toll 36th week. My Dr. advised to keep the physical activity as low as possible. Trust progesterone and take precautions and you should be fine.
