Also just to add, I really struggled with how to do this and lots of people said their babies just stopped wanting milk and naturally dropped bottles but this was not my little girl at all.
We've got our review on Thursday and baby is still on 4 bottles so I will probably get told the same, she has 3 meals but I really struggle with snacks as she's not overly interested in them
Ive found doing food first then milk has really helped. I do roughly: 8.30am breakfast 10.45am 9oz bottle Nap 1.30pm ish lunch 3.45pm ish 9oz bottle Nap 6.15pm dinner 8.15pm 9oz bottle and bed Obviously would all be shifted forward for an earlier baby than yours! Mine rarely drinks the full 9oz for all 3 bottles, might do 1 each of 7,8,9oz depending on the day. I rarely have the need for snacks to be honest, now and again if we are at a class or something or in the shops and a meal is approaching. Plan to replace afternoon bottle with a snack, will probably happen naturally when she starts creche Havent real
My little boy is 1 next Sunday & our routine is. 7/7.30am Munchkin 360 cup full of warm cows milk with his breakfast 12pm lunch 4.30/4.45pm dinner 9/9.30pm 6oz formula for bed. Lots of water to drink during the day! He doesn’t have any snacks unless we are out the house & if he see’s his sister with a snack he’ll have one. But he eats big portions so isn’t much of a snacker.
Wake 8am Breakfast 8:30/9 6oz milk at 11 as she naps Lunch 12:30 Snack 3:30/4 only a small one Dinner 5/5:30 8oz milk for bed around 8pm
Our HV said the same. We’re on 4 and I am gradually reducing the daytime bottles by 30mls each week and it seems to be working, it is helping her to eat more at meal times. I was keen not to just drop because she is really into her bottles and I didn’t want to unsettle her. We’re dropping to 90mls this week. 7 wake 150ml bottle 8.30 breakfast 11 120ml bottle 12.30 lunch 3.30 120ml bottle 5.30 dinner 7.30 210ml bottle
