Hi all! Just looking for a bit of advice or even some reassurance from those who’ve been in the same position before. We are expecting a baby boy November 6th and are just about at 38 weeks. We found out fairly early on that he was breech and he has stayed breech (have had multiple ultrasounds to confirm). We reviewed our options and decided to book a c-section. We’ve been referred to an OB to book the c-section, however, the referral process itself has taken a few weeks and we still have yet to hear to even book a preop consult… I’m getting quite anxious as we were told they recommend the c-section happens at/around 39 weeks as the ideal time. I’ve called the OB office and been told they’ll call me asap but every day I am getting more and more anxious without hearing. This waiting game at the end of pregnancy is hard, but even harder knowing I have no booked date!

Lo te hmmm no

It’s very complicated to change your mind at the very last few weeks.. they will push you to the very last minute so maybe you change your mind and try natural birth. My best friend changed her mind when she was 38 weeks and they booked her for 40 weeks. She got into labour before, of course. She had to wait 12h in labour pain and then they decided to do the C-section. After all the pain that could’ve been avoided if they did once she got into the hospital. It’s so unfair those kind of things that they push us.
It’s nice to know I’m not alone in this, but also I am sad for you as well!! What a stressful situation! I am hopeful for you that a call will come asap
