Getting in touch with maternity
Does anyone feel like you wait ages to be seen by maternity?
Told them I had my last period was in August, found out I was pregnant 2 weeks ago. I don’t have my booking in appointment until the end of November and then my scan date is 4 days later 😳
I thought someone would call or be in touch sooner? Just got some information in the post and that was it…. Just seems bizarre to just say you’re pregnant and then wait 6 weeks to be seen?

It was the same for me 3 years ago. Was seen around 3 months and had the scan short after that
It’s not really about how long you wait, it’s about how far along in pregnancy you are. I think my booking in appointment happened around 10-12 weeks.

When I’d phoned when i was pregnant I didn’t get an appointment until about 8 weeks later, think they tend to base it on when your last period was because it’s easier to date them at roughly 12 weeks
