My son’s getting his at the weekend. I am very pro vaccine so can’t really advise of the cons but the way I see it is the pros are: it’s free preventative healthcare, could save their life (flu is very serious for the young and elderly population and my friend’s child was hospitalised in 2019 when he was a toddler with flu and almost died), and personally I wouldn’t risk putting them through a horrible illness that can be prevented by a quick nasal spray. Cons: might get unwell for a couple of days as they build their immunity BUT any side effects they do get will be so mild compared to what they would experience if they were to catch the flu. Obviously it doesn’t eliminate the risk of catching it completely but means their immune system stands a much better chance of fighting the virus off if they are exposed. I honestly can’t think of any other cons, sorry! Xx
I got my girls done and was lied too by the nurse about side effects of what can happen. My girl has been poorly ever since she had hers done last month. She’s had the worst temp and she’s hit and miss with food and doctors tell me she will be fine and it’s down to the flu nasal spray. It’s been a month, I’m hit and miss with giving her it again.
My little boy had his about 3 weeks ago. Absolutely no side effects at all. He's all good and I'm glad I chose to have it for him and he will in the future too. (Just wanted to show the positive side). I have 3 friends who's toddlers have all had it too and are all absolutely fine, barely even mild sniffles after 👍
My LG was fine after
Little boy had his last month, absolutely fine after👍
My little girl had hers a month ago and she was fine had mild cold symptoms for 24 hours and was fine. She'll always have it done I've had flu myself and was in bed for 2 weeks. I've never been that poorly before was scary and I wouldn't want her to go thru that
Personally I’m not getting my sons done ever but that’s my choice untill their older to decide for their selfs but I’ve seen too much research from other women more cons then good x
